Our experience with this school has been nothing short of amazing. From day one, we’ve felt welcomed and supported by the entire staff. The administrators are incredibly organized and responsive, which makes a huge difference as a parent.
My daughter has been in the Vekler Academy for the past 3 years now. She had been having different lessons here, dancing, singing and piano class. They have the most amazing teacher. So far, she likes Ms. Laura for ballet. She is always looking forward to her class every single week as Ms.
We absolutely love Teacher Georgianna’s classes! She is an exceptional instructor who organizes her lessons thoughtfully, making them both engaging and educational. She mixed dance, drum, basic musical knowledge, drawing, and keyboard in her 30 minute MFT class. Our son loves to go to her musical fun time class.
My daughter Charlotte has been delayed in her development including gross motor skills. She was about 6 months behind on all her milestones, so we looked at ballet being an activity that would be both fun and helpful for her. Ms.Selina and Veksler Academy have really helped her with movement and balance.
Your first ballet class at Veksler Academy of Music and Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
