After a busy first recital weekend, I must say there will never be anywhere else that I will send my children to dance class. The time, dedication, and pure talent the teachers pour into their students is evident in the routines I watched this weekend. The recital was organized and seamless.
Vivian’s Dance Studio in Schuylkill Haven is a great family-oriented studio! Everyone is welcome to grow and learn the art of dance, whether it’s helping beginners feel confident or challenging experienced dancers to reach their next level. Foundational instruction for technique is a key focus, and it shows.
Vivians Dance Srudio has been the best studio for both of our daughters to learn their love of dance. Here is where they have been encouraged and taught strong dance skills by the highly skilled teachers. They have gained their best friends.
I have danced here for 10+ years, and I couldn't imagine myself dancing anywhere else. The teachers are amazing, you get quality training especially in ballet, and there is a great connection between dancers and families. Overall, I love this studio and would 100% recommend!
Your first ballet class at Vivian's Dance Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
