From the reviews
I've taken both the beginner and intermediate heels classes with Olga at this studio, and absolutely loved it. All her classes are so welcoming and the choreography is always beautiful and empowering. As a teacher, Olga is kind, encouraging, and builds us up to be our most confident selves.
I have tried a variety of ways to exercise over the years, and Olga’s dance classes have been the most effective in keeping me in shape physically, allowing me to express myself, and growing my confidence. Every month I feel challenged, delighted, and fulfilled.
You are 💯 going to want to do this!!! Anuki is truly such a special teacher. I originally came for the dancing, but her classes have given me so much more than choreography or technique. Being in her space has shifted something in me, not just physically, but internally.
A hidden gem!! The quality of instruction, attention to detail, and the support from this dance community are THE BEST. I’ve taken classes with both Olga and Anuki - you CANNOT go wrong doing a pop up or month program with either. Pro tip: sign up ASAP bc they do tend to sell out, esp their special occasion pop ups.
Your first ballet class at VOLGA DANCE STUDIO
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
