The best dance school! Bernadette and Travis (the owners) are the best. I know my babies are always safe in their care, and my girls have been really come out of their shell since joining the Weave family. Plus, they put on fantastic showcases! If you’re considering putting your kids in dance, this is the place to go.
If there's a dance haven for kids, it's Weave Dance Studio. Their fusion of traditional and alternative dance styles has kept my children constantly engaged. With adept instructors who deftly blend discipline with fun, every class becomes an adventure for them, pushing the limits while keeping spirits high.
Weave is incredible! An amazing professional dance company with so much diversity and variety, from music, dance styles, age ranges - very inclusive, safe and caring. Ms. B and Mr. Travis (the owners) are phenomenal! So welcoming, approachable and helpful!
Your first ballet class at Weave Dance Company
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
