From the reviews
Our girls Suzie and Allie have been apart of the absolutely wonderful Academy of Performing Arts now for 4 years. To say that they’re the best is an understatement! They’re WONDERFUL with our girls in teaching them what they need to do and how to do it. The girls have so much fun when they’re there, and learn so much.
I've danced at APA for almost 4 years now and I absolutely love it here. My instructors are fantastic! They are great at teaching and genuinely care about their students' progress. Because of the friendly and supportive environment, I look forward to attending my classes every week.
I never imagined that our daughter starting here would start long term relationships. I've come to know the owner and her family deeply and seen the behind the scenes. These ladies and all volunteers work beyond expectation to create a safe, fun and extraordinary experience for the youth.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't say enough good things about my daughter’s dance class! She has been dancing here for three years now, and I’ve seen her grow immensely in her love for dance, as well as her focus and technique. The curriculum is engaging and age-appropriate, making every class exciting for the kids.
Your first ballet class at Academy of the Performing Arts
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
