I wish Google would let me give BACT 10 stars! BACT has been so much more than ballet to our family. The ballet technique that is taught is top-notch; this is evident in the amazing performances each season. BACT pulled our daughter out of her shell and helped her to find her confidence.
My daughter has been with another studio since the age of three. We decided to go with BACT for the stringent Covid safety protocols, and all of the classes . But we got so much more!!!! We love BACT AND Mrs. Amy, Mr. Trent and Mrs. Christa. Plus, all of the girls are close and I love that!!!
Today we say "Thank You!!!" to all the excellent and outstanding Ballet Arts Conservatory of Tallahassee (BACT) teachers! Special "thank you" to Ms. Amy for molding our children into confident dancers. Also, thank you, Ms. Tori, for your hard work with the girls.
We have enjoyed our first year with BACT! My daughter has enjoyed learning and connecting with teachers and friends. There is nothing better than watching her dance around our home! Thank you BACT family for making us feel welcome.
Your first ballet class at Ballet Arts Conservatory of Tallahassee
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
