From the reviews
This is an amazing music and dance school in Columbus, GA! They have done an exceptional job transitioning to both in-person and Zoom lessons during 2020. My daughter has enjoyed her guitar lessons this fall with Mr. Steve, and the staff has been so welcoming.
As an adult student, I greatly appreciate Miss Jen's enthusiasm, encouragement, and patience. I had to wait a long time to be able to afford the music lessons I dreamed of as a child, and I'm so grateful I found the instructor I did first try.
My son has been taking lessons from Steve for about a year and a half. He has learned a great deal and looks forward to going every week. I don't have to make him practice; Steve does a great job working with the child to choose songs they WANT to learn how to play.
My daughter LOVES it here. And We’ve been to several different dance studios before. our favorite was actually prodigy but this ended up being a better option for us. Everyone is so nice from the lady’s at the front desk to all the teachers for dance and also music.
Your first ballet class at Columbus School of Music and Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
