From the reviews
Great studio. Highly recommend. My daughter has been dancing here since she was 3 and really enjoys the classes, being on the Competition Team, performing in the Nutcracker Ballet and working on becoming a stronger dancer . She's competed in Jazz, Tap, Contemporary,, and Lyrical .
Conservatory of Dance (CoD) right in the heart of Wilton Town Center is a wonderful dance studio for kids all ages and even adults looking for dancing opportunities. The offered programs, provide families flexibility to choose from weekly recreational dance class to being part of the competition team.
This dance school has been a nurturing environment where my girls feel accepted and safe, especially since Covid. The safety protocols are above and beyond. Both of my daughters have attended the Conservatory of Dance for years--since preschool.
My daughter has been taking ballet, jazz, and tap and has been a member of the competition team for the past few years and LOVES it! What I love as a parent is that she is not only being taught technically sophisticated dance, but life skills as well - team building, discipline, and confidence.
Your first ballet class at Conservatory of Dance, LLC
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
