Creative Dance & Music Studio has become home to our dancer going on three years now. Over her 10 years of dance, we have been to multiple studios and have changed for multiple reasons. Creative has been a solid choice from day one.
My daughters first year was absolutely amazing. The staff was always so friendly and helpful. My daughters confidence and love for dancing grew more than I could have expected. During the start of Covid they prepared extra online learning and classes so the dancers never got behind or felt forgotten.
I am grateful for this dance school. My daughter is autistic and they made her feel like a normal kid. Every week she expressed excitement about going to dance and enjoyed learning all the techniques and steps Ms. Hilary had to offer.
My daughter has taken piano and voice lessons at Creative with Mrs. Jen for 9 years. I am amazed at how much she has grown in her musical ability under Mrs. Jen's guidance. We love Creative so much that we have recently added electric guitar with Mr. Brian. All of the staff is professional, friendly and helpful.
Your first ballet class at Creative Dance & Music Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
