The programs they offer
“We did try other dance studios when they were little, but when we landed at Dance Arts Project my kids found joy in dancing, which has only grown over their years at DAP.”
“Both have had so much fun in the creative movement and pre ballet classes when they were little.”
“They also have a terrific "onboarding" program for kids who are getting interested in dance a little later on (like middle school or the beginning of high school).”

From the reviews
My daughter has danced at DAP since the day she turned 4. Each year since then, she has steadily increased her class attendance until this year as a senior year in high school, where she takes 7 classes a week and would take more if her schedule would allow! DAP is more than just a dance studio.
This is a lovely, caring, inclusive community dance school. It is well-run and has highly skilled instructors, but beyond that what sets it apart is the joy that emanates, rather than stress or competition. It will give your child another place to call home. My daughter LOVED her 12 years there.
My child has been part of Dance Arts since age 4 and loves it. Through Dance Arts she has gained confidence and focus. Dance Arts is such a positive environment. I highly recommend this dance studio.
Years ago when i lived in Alameda both of my daughters went to DAP and other dance schools. DAP stood out for its inclusivity, positive re-enforcement and allowing everyone to be their authentic selves.
Your first ballet class at Dance Arts Project
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
