“After one session my toddler couldn’t help but practice at home— sitting on the floor, legs stretched out, flexing her feet and saying “Bonjour toes, au revoir toes!”

From the reviews
Ms. Taylor is absolutely amazing! She makes ballet so fun, engaging, and full of imagination for my 3-year-old. My daughter leaves class beaming and literally skips into the studio every week. She keeps the kids engaged the whole time and my daughter already asks when her next class is before we’re even in the car.
Admittedly, I was initially skeptical to take my 3 year old to ballet. She showed a natural interest but my preconceptions of ballet were “stiff, intense, high-pressure”. Internally, I wondered who on earth puts their kids in ballet THIS young?
My 4yo daughter looks forward to her ballet class every week! Mrs. T does a great job of balancing fun and appropriate-for-the-age discipline. Ms. Taylor is fantastic in incorporating singing and dancing while going over letters, numbers, animals, the seasons, etc! Ms.
This is Andrew and Jeramie, and our three-year-old daughter. Maggie is in Miss Taylor’s class. Maggie has been going to Tutu school for almost 2 years now, but she has grown so much So much throughout the experience.
Your first ballet class at Tutu School Alameda
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
