Our 3 year old has been having a great time at this toddler dance class with Ms. Taylor! Ms. Taylor was very patient with her the first day when she needed time to adjust to the new environment and new experience. We are looking forward to continuing more classes here!
It’s a great class and teacher is always very nice and patients for the young dancers. My girl can’t wait for every week to see Miss Taylor every Saturday
We have had such good experiences with all of the classes we have taken with Dance to Evolve, from ballet and tap to hip-hop. The teachers are so good with really young kids and my daughter, who is always nervous to start new things, warmed up so quickly because of how warm their welcomes are.
Awesome staff here at Ocean Aire. You definitely feel like you know everybody at this rec center and how nice to have so many classes offered with such wonderful instructors! Large mirrors and space for the kiddos to dance in. Great environment to learn!
Your first ballet class at Dance To EvOLvE in Torrey Hills at Ocean Air Rec Center
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
