If you're looking to learn how to dance, this is the place. The space is great, the classes are extremely well taught, and scheduling is easy and reliable. I've been taking Salsa lessons from Ilona who is easily one of the best teacher's I've ever met.
My daughter - 16 and my son - 13 have been taking private ballroom dancing lessons with Stephanie for few years. They dance as a couple. Stephanie is a great dance instructor. She is patient and understanding and choreographs their dance routines with tricks and moves that my kids LOVE.
If you are looking for a unique dancing experience for your child I highly recommend Dance With Us!!! My 6 year old has been taking ball room lessons for a year now and she loves it and looking amazing dancing.
I've been taking Ballroom and Latin classes at Dance With Us for almost 3 years now, and I have learned so much from the amazing teachers. Going to dance is the highlight of my day and I love learning all the different dances and how to properly move my body.
Your first ballet class at Dance With Us Long Island
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
