My daughters have been dancing at North Shore Performing Arts Center since they were each toddlers. With guidance and support of the most caring and professional studio owner and staff, they are both learning and growing so much as dancers while also having fun.
My daughters have been attending NSPAC for over 5 years now. They couldn't be happier and look forward to every minute spent there. The owner and her staff seek to make their students the best dancers possible, while at the same time being sweet, caring, and most of all- they make sure everyone is happy and having fun.
NSPAC has something for everyone! Fun, but challenging, classes for both recreational and competition level dancers are taught by professional, current, and caring teachers. NSPAC proves that “dance friends really are the best friends” and we will be coming back for our 11th year next fall.
NSPAC is a fabulous dance studio with a very involved and caring owner and lovely and fun dance teachers. My daughters are lucky to have a great local dance studio!!
Your first ballet class at North Shore Performing Arts
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
