From the reviews
I enrolled all three of my daughters at Dancexpress and they had a wonderful experience. The studio was recommended to me by my neighbor who also sent her daughters to Dancexpress several years ago. My oldest two daughters took ballet class and randomly bust out ballet moves at home. I love it.
We love Dancexpress! If your child is looking to be a serious dancer but in a low pressure, fun studio, this is the place for you. Ms. Cathy is so kind, encouraging and fun. She is positive and upbeat, pushing her dancers to do their best while celebrating their hard work.
Both my daughters started at dancexpress when they were in preschool and we couldn't be happier there. Ms Cathy and all the other teachers are so sweet and make class fun without the pressures of some other dance schools in the area.
This is our third year with Dancexpress and my daughter has fallen in love with all forms of dance as a result of the positive, kind, inclusive, and FUN environment Cathy and her staff provide.
Your first ballet class at Dancexpress Dance Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
