I can’t say enough positive things about this studio! We started with the tiny tots class for my daughter and she LOVED it! The entire staff is awesome! From the teachers, other students, all of the parents that spend a great deal of time there with multiple kids or children on the teams...
WE LOVE EMERGE!! We have been at Emerge for a year now. As a former dance teacher, I can honestly say that we are very happy with our experiences and the dance instruction my kids have received. My daughter's dance technique/ability and most importantly her self confidence have greatly improved over the past year.
My children have been attending Emerge Dance Academy for years, and I cannot imagine taking them anywhere else. The teachers are all well trained and great with kids. My girls are able to learn and practice something they love in a fun, nurturing, and structured environment.

Your first ballet class at Emerge Dance Academy - White Oak
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
