From the reviews
Our daughter has taken ballet at Greenleaf for 2 years. We are looking at our third year now. Things to love about this place: 1. We don't want our little girl dressing up like a grown woman with provocative dance clothes.
We completely love this place for our teenage daughters and son. The leadership is emotionally healthy, academically rigorous and FUN for our children. They've somehow gathered a collection of students that are a remarkable set of honoring, kind, and talented young people. Couldn't recommend this place more highly.
Hello! My name is Nadia, I am 18 years old, and I have been going to Greenleaf Performing Arts Academy since I was 10! I've taken dance lessons, vocal and piano lessons, and theatre. I love absolutely everything about this place.
Our two children take private piano lessons as well as Stage 1 acting at the Greenleaf South location. Acting class is very active. The teacher is a great fit for the role. For piano, Greenleaf offers young grade school aged students either 15 minute or 30 minute lessons. They work on Theory, Technique & Performance.
Your first ballet class at Greenleaf Performing Arts Academy - South Olathe
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
