We LOVE STMA Just For Kix! My daughter has been dancing here for 6 years - they have the BEST instructors and provide a nurturing environment where kids can not only develop their skills but also build lasting relationships.
My daughter is on her 9th season with Just for Kix! We moved away 4 years ago and today continue to drive 40 minutes one way 3 times a week because we love this program and all it has to offer! We are huge fans and love all of the instructors and the communication from our director, Kaitlin White!
We LOVE STMA JFK! The director and coaches are amazing with the girls, patient and encouraging. JFK as a whole is an excellent program, building the confidence my 10 year old thrives on.
We took our shy daughter there and it has done wonders for her. She not only has been learning the dance skills and techniques needed to win competitions but she came out of shell. The staff are amazingly wonderful people & Kaitlin is very quick to respond to questions and concerns. HIGHLY recommend this studio.
Your first ballet class at Just For Kix
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
