What families & students say
“The teachers and other dancers were kind, caring, and all very talented.”
From the reviews
I danced here from roughly 3-7 years old, and although the location I went to closed, Nancy is very sweet! Although she was a bit traditional and strict, she was very patient. We would stand in line after class and get stamps that smelled really nice, and she would tell us we did good that day.
I started dancing at this studio when I was three and a half years old. The teachers and other dancers were kind, caring, and all very talented. I enjoyed dancing at this studio so very much and the teachers, dancers, and Miss Nancy were some of the most sweet people you will ever meet.
We have been attending Nancy Doize School of dance for seven years now and we love it! Nancy is one of the most wonderful people I know who truly loves and cares about all of the students at her studio. The teachers are excellent and also fantastic dancers themselves.
I got three girls dancing here. They love it. Two of girls been here for five years. And my younger one two. My girls have made many new friends. I highly recommend this classy studio for your young future star.
Your first ballet class at Nancy Doize' School of Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
