From the very first step inside Next Level Dance Studio, you’re greeted with warmth, love, and genuine friendliness. The atmosphere is not only welcoming but also fun, making it a place where kids truly want to be.
Our first year with NLDS and we couldn't be happier! My two daughters joined NLDS in October of 2024 after dancing for many years at another studio. My girls were initially concerned about joining a new studio as preteen/teens and how they’d be welcomed being “the new kids”. After their first trial class their worries were literally non existent! Ms.
My daughter has danced with the studio owner Meagan for 9 years, including 7 years at her current studio. She is caring, never belittling, and truly understands that the girls are there to learn, grow, and build confidence. She doesn’t place unnecessary pressure on them, but she does challenge them to do their best.
Your first ballet class at Next Level Dance Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
