A great place to be! Pam and her team are amazing! My daughter loves dancing here. I am grateful for a dance studio that is careful to choose age appropriate costumes. We have been to some dance competitions where the costumes are so provocative for young dancers from other studios.
I am about to start my second year at PSDS, this studio is remarkable! I 100% recommend this place for anyone wanting to start dancing, everyone is super nice and patient to answering questions. Very age appropriate costumes, which is delightful. Dress rehearsal and Recital day are well-organized and calm.
We love it here!! Mandy is my daughter's teacher and she is so nice and engaging! The lady at the front desk is also super nice and Pam the owner is so great with the kids! Highly recommend!
This studio changed both of my children's life for the better. My oldest has grown so confident in herself over the last 5 years and in no small part due to the owner, Pam. My youngest was able to find a place to really grow and develop her passion for gymnastics.
Your first ballet class at P.S... Dance studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
