From the reviews
Ms. Jodi is wonderful with the girls. She has transitioned the classes to be safe and fun in these unprecedented times. So happy we are apart of the Prodigy dance family.
Our daughter began participating with Prodigy Performing Arts through the musical theater program. Since her first show in summer 2021, I've seen her grow from a puppy in 101 Dalmatians Jr. to a villainous eel in Little Mermaid Jr. During those years, her confidence and stage presence have grown astronomically.
Our daughter has been taking dance lessons from Ms. Jodi for the past 9 years, participating in studio classes as well as various camps and workshops. In our opinion, Ms. Jodi is a bedrock of the local performing arts community.
My son, Carter, really enjoyed working with Mrs. Jodi in her musical theatre troupe’s production of Legally Blonde this summer. Mrs. Jodi provides top-tier training while keeping a compassionate and fun environment. The show director, Talia, was also an amazing director and her and Jodi executed the show very well.
Your first ballet class at Prodigy Performing Arts
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
