This studio has been dear to me for a long time as I've known the owner and many of the teachers throughout the years! My daughter and I are in the My Grownup and Me class right now and we are absolutely loving it!! Ms. Ivey is a wonderful teacher, she's so engaging with the kids and gives it her whole heart!
My daughter loves it here! The teachers take the time to get to know her. They've invested in her training and encourage her to reach new goals. I love it here because she matters and in today's society where everyone comes and goes, that's a BIG deal. ❤️❤️
We love TLC dance! The teachers and owner, Deborah are wonderful. My daughter has been dancing there for years and loves it. The summer camps are unique and fun too. She has grown so much as a dancer. I would highly recommend it.
This place is great! I have a 7 year old boy and he loves going to his dance classes. He did Hip-Hop last year and loved Ms. Kennedy. He is now in Musical-Theatre and is having a blast with Ms. Lauren! This will be our go-to dance studio for now on. :) They also have small events thru the year.
Your first ballet class at TLC Dance Studio
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
