From the reviews
We love That’s Dancing! The teachers are all so kind, fun and welcoming. My girls (5 and 4) have been going for two years, and couldn’t be happier. They’ve made friends, learned skills and most importantly had so much fun.
We have loved our time at That’s Dancing! Going on 7 years (I think) of bringing my daughters to ballet classes. It’s been so fun and a wonderfully positive experience for all of us. When I would bring my oldest daughter to baby ballet our second one would tag along and have to be in a tutu as well, just for fun.
Enrolling my daughter in this school has been a wonderful choice! The teachers always refer to her by her name when she enters the class, which is amazing. It has helped my daughter’s confidence and she went from refusing to dance in a room full of people to performing in front of a pretty big audience without issue.
We Absolutely LOVE That’s Dancing! I cannot say enough about the wonderful care, love and attention Miss Kara, Miss Micah and all the staff give to the students. My daughter loves all her classes, looks up to all her teachers and begs to take more classes.
Your first ballet class at That's Dancing
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
