⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Children's Ballet Theatre is a true gem for young dancers and their families! The instructors are passionate and dedicated, ensuring each child receives personalized attention. The studio maintains a clean and safe environment, with clear guidelines to keep everyone comfortable.
We have absolutely loved our experience at the Children’s Ballet Theater. The staff is positive, professional, and so encouraging. Throughout the pandemic they have done an amazing job of keeping the students safe and healthy while still fostering a love of creativity through movement.
We love Children’s Ballet Theatre! For six years they have lovingly taught our daughter classical ballet, modern, jazz etc. She has learned grace, determination, hard work, healthy habits, and a love for dance. The teachers are talented and care about our daughter.
I have seen my daughter blossom in both dance and character through her classes at CBT. It’s the sweetest studio and community with high quality training at an affordable price, and done with such love and nurture by Chelsea and all the staff.
Your first ballet class at The Children's Ballet Theatre
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
