From the reviews
Teachers and owners are professional and do a fabulous job of engaging the kids!!! My daughter's look forward to class and love being there. I have a timid child who has never enjoyed going to dance class but loves to dance. Ms Kristen has met my child where she is and now loves to dance.
We love Tutu school!! The studio itself does an amazing job at creating classes that keep little ones excited and engaged. We previously had tried a different dance class at a more traditional studio, and my daughter was not able to stay interested during class, which led to me becoming very exhausted and dreading…
Highly recommend this place! My toddler has been taking classes for a little over a year now. Teacher Kirsten is very kind & a wonderful teacher. The owner (Kristen - very similar name I know) is also wonderful. My daughter loves her ballet classes and often asks when her next class is because she’s so excited for it.
Finally, a dance studio that actually keeps my daughter engaged! This is the third ballet dance studio we have tried. Previously, my daughter quit ballet because it was 'too boring'. I was hopeful this studio would help her foster her love of dance without being too rigid and am happy to say it's been a success.
Your first ballet class at Tutu School Renton
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
