I am beyond impressed with the customer service Ive been given at Clermont Academy of Dance. My daughter is 4 years old and is beyond shy and suffers from separation anxiety. My husband and I wanted to place her in an extracurricular in order to help build her social skills.
We have been sending our kids to CAD for over 16 years, we have never been happier. Exceptional staff that creates extremely positive and inclusive environment to shape kids not only into dancers but mature and responsible young adults. Clermont Academy of Dance is a great studio and has been a second home to my daughter for the last 6 seasons. We are starting our 7th season and I’m pleased with the instruction my daughter is receiving from the educated and highly trained choreographers.
My daughter has been dancing at Clermont Academy of Dance since she was 4. The training she has received from the fantastic dance Instructors have molded her into a fantastic dancer. This year alone she qualified and was invited to the ADC ballet competition and also Worlds Ballet Competition.
Your first ballet class at Clermont Academy of Dance
Nervous about walking into your first class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects beginners, whether your dancer is five or you're returning at fifty. Here's what to know. What to wear: comfortable clothes you can move in, with socks or bare feet; a leotard and tights are nice if you have them, but not required, and pointe shoes are years down the road — never day one. What to expect: class usually starts at the barre with slow, simple movements to warm up, then moves to the center — follow along, copy the teacher, and don't worry about getting it "right" the first time. Arrive early: come 10–15 minutes ahead to change, find a spot, and let the teacher know it's a first class so they can keep an eye out. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
